    A Day Made of Glass

Filed Under: Commercials by Ariel Bloch — Comments Off

An inspiring promotional video by Corning, a glass and ceramics manufacturer.

Not very far from the realistic future depicted in many Sci-Fi movies (The interface design of Avatar comes to mind) – but made more realistic with every passing year with the innovations from the like of Apple.

Good to keep this reference around and check back in 2021, to see what of this happened.

Imagine A World Where Everything Runs On Gas

An innovative ideation and brilliant execution. Funny and scary as hell.

The horrific world expressed so vividly in this commercial obviously makes you wonder why do we agree to burn fuel anywhere. Obviously, an electric car only hides the fuel burned to generate the electricity – but its a step in the right direction.

    Batelco Infinity

A brilliant and stunning video ad campaign is virally expanding through the interwebs recently (and when I say “virally expanding” I mean “my dad got it in his email”).

This is a campaign for Batelco Infinity, a telecom provider from Bahrain. From the crisp looks, tons of money had been poured into the production.

    Contagious Magazine:

Bahrain-based agency FP7/BAH worked for over a year to bring together a super glossy short film. Batelco wanted to launch into the market with the proposition of ‘Bringing ideas to life’ to show the potential of its offerings to facilitate global communication.

    Jazarah.net:

Infinity is an ambitious project by Batelco to launch its new brand positioning “Bringing Ideas to Life”, I don’t remember seeing such an amazing work coming from this part of the world, Batelco has certainly nailed a huge exposure and scored a milestone with more than 111,000 fans on facebook.

This ad is one of the top ten of TED’s Ads Worth Spreading.

    Best Super Bowl 2011 Commercials

I just love the Super-Bowl commercials. Those expensive, uber-produced, work-for-months type of commercials.

    Here are my best picks.

    1. Motorola Xoom – Empower The People

Motorola achieved greatness with this ad, that stabs at Apple using Apple’s own 1984 commercial concept – just in reverse: Guess who is the totalitarian regime now?
Smart, superbly done, subtle, emotional and captivating.

A very funny commercial from Verizon. I won’t tell you which phone they are smacking, you will have to guess. Very well done.
